Olympians Sarah Schleper and Tommy Ford won slalom titles at the U.S. Alpine Championships at Whiteface Mountain on Sunday. The win for the 31-year-old Schleper, a four-time Olympian, continued a comeback to the U.S. Ski Team that began two years ago after the birth of her son, Lasse. "I didn't have the results last year until the end of the season," said Schleper, of Vail, Colo.
McKeever wins 3rd gold in cross-country skiing

Brian McKeever of Canada has won his third gold medal in cross country skiing at the Paralympics. McKeever, with brother Robin acting as his guide, captured Sunday's 1-kilometer sprint for the visually impaired. McKeever defeated Russia's Nikolay Polukhin and guide Andrey Tokarev in the final.
Execs to attend luger memorial in Georgia

Olympic executives will attend a memorial in Georgia for the luger who was killed on the first day of the Vancouver Games. John Furlong, the head of the Vancouver organizers, was invited to Tuesday's memorial by the family of Nodar Kumaritashvili. The service is taking place 40 days after Kumaritashvili's death, in accordance with Christian orthodox traditions.

Kramer, Sablikova successfully defend titles

Sven Kramer won the men's 10,000-meter race Sunday to successfully defend his title at the World Allround Speedskating Championships. Martina Sablikova also defended her women's 5,000 title, finishing in 6 minutes, 50.98 seconds to top the standings. Kramer won the race in 12 minutes, 57.97 seconds to become the first speedskater to earn four straight allround titles.
China, South Korea winners at short track worlds

China and South Korea dominated to win every gold medal Sunday at the short track speedskating world championships. South Korea's Lee Ho-suk won the men's 1,000 meters in 1 minute, 34.198 seconds, ahead of teammate Kwak Yoon-gy (1:34.231) and J.R. Celsky of the United States (1:34.290). The trio finished in the same order in the 3,000, with Lee winning his third gold.
Swedish curler fails doping test at Paralympics

A Swedish curler at the Paralympics has been banned for two years after failing a doping test. Wheelchair curling fourth Glenn Ikonen says he didn't know the blood pressure medication he was taking was on the banned list. Ikonen, who was to throw the rocks in Friday's match against Italy, told a news conference he was disappointed his doctor gave him medication that was on the banned list.
Tcherezov, Hauswald win World Cup mass starts

Ivan Tcherezov of Russia shot cleanly Sunday to win a men's 15-kilometer biathlon World Cup race, and Simone Hauswald of Germany won the women's event despite two misses. The 29-year-old Tcherezov finished in 40 minutes, 10.1 seconds to beat Christoph Sumann of Austria by 26.3 seconds. Norway's Northug, Bjoergen win last World Cup race

Double Olympic champion Petter Northug of Norway ended his impressive season by winning the last cross country race of the World Cup calendar Sunday. The 23-year old Norwegian won the 15-kilometer handicap race in 44 minutes, 30.8 seconds, entering the ski stadium in Falun with a big enough lead to slow down and wave to the cheering crowd.
