Stars Team Report
(Sun, 21 Mar 2010 01:35:44 PDT)
When the Stars' season ends—and at this rate it's likely to end in early April—there will be the usual drill. Questions will be asked, fingers will be pointed, moves will be made. But for anyone who's watched this team from start to finish this season, one thing is for certain: No one can point fingers at, question or even think about getting rid of Brad Richards.
Richards was coming off a season to forget in 2008-09, but he has more than made up for it this season. He's back to that point-a-night guy the Stars were hoping he'd be when they traded for him two seasons ago. He mostly has been setting others up, but he's gotten a few for himself, too (he scored twice in the Stars' victory over Ottawa on Saturday).
Part of it is Richards' drive for the playoffs.

If the Dallas Stars are to make a late run at the playoffs, their offense will need to keep clicking at the current rate. Brad Richards had two goals, Trevor Daley scored the winner, and the Stars beat Ottawa 5-4 on Saturday, handing the Senators their fifth straight defeat despite Jason Spezza's hat trick.
