The Jets' search for a new head coach is gaining steam.

The team interviewed Giants defensive coordinator and current assistants Brian Schottenheimer and Bill Callahan, and Cardinals offensive line coach Russ Grimm is scheduled to interview for the position Thursday.

General manager Mike Tannenbaum conducted the first three interviews with owner Woody Johnson out of the country.

Boston College coach Jeff Jagodzinkski's name has also been floated, although an ESPN said the school has said he'll be fired should he interview for the job because he committed to be with the university longer than two years.

The Jets have also received permission to talk to Ravens defensive coordinator Rex Ryan.
