Eagles Team Report
(Mon, 15 Mar 2010 16:40:37 PDT)
For the second year in a row, the Eagles are taking a free-agent gamble on a guy coming off major knee surgery.
Defensive back Marlin Jackson, who is recovering from his second ACL tear in as many seasons, signed an incentive-laden two-year deal with the team. Even though he is just four months removed from surgery, the Eagles are penciling him in as their starting free safety this season.
They're hoping to get a quicker return on this investment than they did last year with offensive lineman Stacy Andrews.
