Texas wins Big 12 South, rips Kansas
(Sat, 21 Nov 2009 21:45:06 PST)
Colt McCoy fired the cannon. He banged the big drum. Then he left the field to chants of "Colt for Heisman!" There's still plenty of work to do for the quarterback of No. 3 Texas, but for this one last night in front of the home crowd, he was going to have some fun. McCoy passed for 396 yards and four touchdowns, earning his NCAA record 43rd career victory as a starter in a 51-20 win...

The California players listened quietly all week to the pregame talk about how powerful Stanford had a chance to go to the Rose Bowl. Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli watched as red-clad Arizona students ringed the sidelines as time ticked down, ready to rush the field. "I saw it and I actually smirked," Masoli said. "It was kind of funny. I wasn't really worried about it." The Ducks' gifted quarterback ruined the celebration in Arizona Stadium and started another one in Eugene.

So many unusual things happened in the final 3 minutes of Mississippi's victory Saturday against No. 10 LSU, it got confusing. Even for the participants. "I don't know what all happened down there at the end," Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt said. "I just know the scoreboard read 25-23 Ole Miss Rebels." Nutt's confusion was nothing compared to what was happening on the LSU...

(Sat, 21 Nov 2009 14:15:51 PST)
Terrelle Pryor is thankful he chose to play at Ohio State, instead of for Rich Rodriguez and the Michigan Wolverines. Pryor threw a touchdown for the final score in the third quarter and avoided making many mistakes to help the ninth-ranked Buckeyes beat Michigan 21-10 Saturday for its sixth straight win in the series and an outright Big Ten title.
TCU moves to 11-0, remains in BCS hunt
(Sat, 21 Nov 2009 19:22:15 PST)
Andy Dalton made a bet over the summer with his TCU teammates that he was hoping to lose. Win 10 straight and the junior quarterback vowed to shave his flame-red hair. The Horned Frogs did and Dalton honored the pact, showing up last week with a pseudo Mohawk and "TCU" etched into the side. But all future bets regarding Dalton's locks are off.

(Sat, 21 Nov 2009 18:53:04 PST)
It didn't take long for Penn State to start lobbying for a BCS bid. Daryll Clark passed for 310 yards and four touchdowns Saturday as the No. 13 Nittany Lions wrapped up their regular season with a 42-14 victory against Michigan State on Saturday. Clark set a school record with his 23rd TD passes this season and set the career record with 42.
