Pistons Team Report
(Wed, 07 Jan 2009 02:10:05 PST)
Antonio McDyess feels more like a football player two months into the season than an NBA veteran. He's exhibiting the toughness the Pistons have shown during their current seven-game winning streak.
McDyess has been taking a beating lately and sustained another injury in the Pistons' win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday. McDyess dislocated the pinky finger of his left hand during the first half.
"I didn't even want to look at it," McDyess said. "It was just sitting on to the side of my hand."
Allen Iverson figured McDyess was done for the day.
"When I saw that finger, I knew he wasn't coming back into this game here," Iverson said.
Iverson was wrong.
