Lakers Team Report
(Tue, 16 Mar 2010 01:10:31 PDT)
The high-fives had better be gentle with the Lakers these days, because many of them are nursing hand or finger injuries.
Asked Monday night if he had ever seen so many hand injuries, Lakers coach Phil Jackson said: "Not any team I've coached."
Kobe Bryant is the biggest name who has had to overcome a hand problem, playing through an avulsion fracture in his right index finger. But Ron Artest (sprained left thumb), Shannon Brown (sprained right thumb) and Jordan Farmar (sprained left pinkie finger) are also struggling somewhat right now.
"Some of the guys may need an operation in the offseason," Jackson said.
Lamar Odom is also playing with tape on his right index and middle fingers from a collision earlier this season in Phoenix that jammed those digits.
