Kings Team Report
(Sun, 21 Mar 2010 00:40:37 PDT)
For one game anyway, the better rookie was Brandon Jennings. For the entire season, the Rookie of the Year very well may go to Tyreke Evans of the Kings, but if it was a one-game decision, Jennings won going away here.
The Milwaukee Bucks guard outclassed his counterpart by scoring 35 points on a career-best eight three-pointers and eight assists in a 114-108 double overtime win at Arco Arena. He was superb with the dribble, broke down defenders, hit his first five threes for a 22-point first half and nearly won it with a three-quarter-length heave at the regulation buzzer that hit the front of the rim.
And when it was over, Jennings cupped his hand to his ear as if to ask the Arco crowd, "Who's the top rookie now?" and he hustled over and high-fived a fan wearing a Robin...
