Now the Celtics are losing at home, too. Von Wafer hit a 3-pointer with 44 seconds left to give Houston the lead and the Rockets beat Boston 89-85 on Wednesday night. It was the sixth loss in eight games for the defending NBA champions, but their first at home since a Nov. 14 defeat to Denver sent them on a 19-game winning streak.

Clippers Team Report
(Wed, 07 Jan 2009 02:10:05 PST)
Marcus Camby at center, Zach Randolph at power forward, Al Thornton at small forward, Eric Gordon at shooting guard and Baron Davis at point guard is a starting five that is potent enough to challenge any other five in the NBA.
That's what an injury-free Clippers' team could present and then bring off the bench a potent inside force with Chris Kaman, a proven scorer in Ricky Davis and a sturdy defender and offensive playmaker in Jason Hart.
With the threesome of Camby, Randolph and Kaman, the Clippers have a post trio that rivals the most elite teams in the NBA. When healthy, there are no more than four point guards in the NBA that are the equal or better than Baron Davis, and the rookie Gordon is a star in the making.
But in Clipper Land, injuries seem to...

Raymond Felton scored 25 points, Augustin added 11 of his 20 points...

NBA's Eastern Conference teams outplaying the West
(Thu, 25 Dec 2008 21:57:52 PST)
The Western Conference has ruled the NBA the past decade. Not anymore. West teams won seven of the past 10 championships and had a winning record against the East every season since 1998-99. Through Thursday's games, the East was 87-65 against the West this season. "I think the balance is shifting," Indiana Pacers forward Danny Granger said.
